More things that the world needs...

So I really should be typing fic, since I've got nearly two of them finished and haven't started on typing either of them... But, well. This thought occurred to me:

The Master is totally a Sailor Moon villain.

Perhaps I should explain. Yesterday, my mother had a really terrible day at work. So we decide to go out to the local Hibachi grill and have a feast, because Hibachi is really fun and really yummy. Plus, it's fun watching people play with fire. <3 BUT, we got there at 5 o'clock and they apparently don't open until 5:30. Because that was our luck yesterday.

Thankfully, the mall was right across the street and they've got a very big Barnes & Noble for all of our book therapy needs. My mother, having the horrible day, asked me which DW serial was really cracky that we didn't have yet. I immediately zoomed in on The Terror of the Autons, because, hey, it's death by comfy chairs and plastic daffodils of doom. That's crack if I've ever heard it. Plus, it's the first Master serial and first Jo serial, so why didn't we own this serial yet? That decided, we went to browse the actual books and I found a hardback I couldn't afford. So I went to the manga section and saw not only the Sailor Moon manga, but the Code Name: Sailor V manga.

Now I am a hard core Sailor V fan. I've cosplayed not only Sailor Venus, but Sailor V and hope to one day do the live action Sailor Venus just for kicks. So, while I am broke, I still bought the Sailor V manga. -_-;;;

After a lovely meal, we came back home and watched Autons. Then I started reading my manga, because V-chan is cute and how could I resist? Then it hit me. The Master is so a Sailor Moon villain. What do Sailor Moon villains do? Hypnotize/brainwash everyone into doing their bidding! Zap people's energy with increasingly random things! Have angsty love affairs with the heroine (Kunzite and V-chan are probably one of my few OTPs. Seriously, I ship all the shitennou/inner senshi so hard, it's ridiculous. And sadly, other than Minako-chan and Kunzite, we really only have one picture to go off of. But hey, that's never stopped fandom before!)! What does the Master do? Hypnotize people to do his bidding! Kill people with increasingly random things (shrinking, comfy chair, crazy doll, phone cord, plastic daffodils of death)! Have a side affair with the hero!

He's totally a Sailor Moon villain. You just can't get around this.

So now I really sort of want an epic Sailor Moon/Doctor Who crossover. Think about it. Delgado Master would totally wander into the Dark Kingdom and get in over his head/decide to help Beryl-sama take over the Earth. She's not only the big busty powerful type that he likes to use to make the Doctor jealous, but the Dark Kingdom really was just awesome. Then he'd play both sides for a while and try to make his escape. Actually, I'm not sure where the Doctor would fit in. I just really want the Master in the Dark Kingdom.

So here is my question to you: Does such a fic exist? Are there any half-way decent DW/BSSM fanfics out there, even without the Master? Please let me know if you find any!

I haven't the faintest idea if one exists, but there should be one.

Psh, and you accuse me of being too cracky.

There really should be. Except, reading the Codename: Sailor V manga is only making me want more Minako/Kunzite, which is counterproductive to DW fic. That, or I need to get on Ang and go back to our BSSM Alt Universe Modern Silver Millennium roleplay of forever ago.

Well, there's crack I can write, and then there's crack. I'm not sure I could really write this. But I want it so badly right now...

But then again, do we really want to bring the Master into this sort of world?

The answer is: Yes. And also the One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flying Purple People Eater.

Ha ha. I remember that one. Oh, Tuxedo Kamen-sama... Though, due to Shitennou influences, the first season is still my favorite. And I was definitely thinking more in terms of putting the Master in the manga version (though if you want CRACK you put him in the Live Action version).

Definitely yes though. I'm still on the fence with the Purple People eater.

First season's still my favorite season, too.

Strangely, I haven't read the manga version. And I've heard too many horror stories about the Live Action version to go near it.

You should never be on the fence about the Purple People Eater. Ever. Or it will find you.

The Manga was so much better, if just for the shitennou/generals. They got like, backstory. Admittedly, it came late and poor Jadeite got really cut short on the personality department, but they were more than just random people working for Beryl-sama.

And don't believe those stories. The live action is AWESOME. With Classic Who-esque villains, hilarious ballet fight scenes, and a surprisingly decent plot as you got into it. Cheesy to the max, but definitely worth watching.

Heh heh. We shall see.

I have heard splendid things about the manga, but for some reason just never got around to borrowing it from my friend who had it. And then she sold it. :-/ And now Borders is deaaaaad.

Hilarious ballet fight scenes? Do tell.

They are re-releasing the manga, as I've said. So now is a good time to get into it. Or there are shiftier ways of finding it... XD

As they put it... Ballet-fu. http://youtu.be/oXTCho-JQkU

Interestingly enough, I just found a Doctor Who/Sailor Moon crossover. I think my jaw dropped open when I saw it.

Well, technically, it's a multi-verse crossover, featuring those Heart Crystal-Stealing villains going after various different fandoms, including Doctor Who-verse, His Dark Materials-verse, Battlestar Galactica-verse, The Daily Show (what?!), and various others.

I was more than slightly amused, and also more than slightly just...in awe...that all those things could be smushed together in so short a fic.

It doesn't have the Master in it, though.

How silly of me. I go on and on and then don't give you a link to this...this sheer epitome of crack.

Oct. 27th, 2011 02:35 am (UTC)
That was definitely strangely impressive. I think I'd have liked a bit more from it though, than just quick attacks that you don't even see any of. Where are the terrible speeches? It's not Sailor Moon without the terrible speeches... Thanks for the link though!

This same person also made a solely Doctor Who/Sailor Moon crossover where the first 10 Doctors all meet Sailor Pluto!

lol. You're having fun with this, aren't you? I did like that one a bit better. <3 Many thanks for the links.

I'll admit, that was cracky. Though, considering there was one ridiculously well done Star Wars/Sailor Moon crossover that I followed for a while that got me used to the idea of crossover main characters as senshi.
Oct. 27th, 2011 04:03 am (UTC)
Cracky? NO. It was UTTER BRILLIANCE, that's what it was. And far too adorable an idea not to use BIG font and bold all in CAPS. Susan saving the universe as Sailor Gallifrey appeals to me much more than her being abandoned on Earth with some boy to go rebuild society or whatever. :P
Oct. 27th, 2011 11:30 am (UTC)
I'll admit, the idea is definitely interesting. I wonder who her Tuxedo Kamen-sama is? And it's fun trying to come up with attacks for her. XD

And it's fun trying to come up with attacks for her. XD

You used present tense. You're planning something, hmm? >:D
Oct. 27th, 2011 08:07 pm (UTC)
lol. No, not really. Just attacks and bad speeches. Really, those are good enough for me. XD

You know what else the world needs?

Pirate!Three Amy-verse adventures. You should write them.
